Wythenshawe Amateurs Football Club are looking for a about five girls aged 13 to 15 yrs old (school years 9 & 10) for a girls football team, Come on down to a training session on a Wednesday night 6.30pm till 7.30pm at St Wilfred’s School, Patterdale Road, Northenden, M22 4NR. We are going forward to the 08 – 09 season playing in the South Manchester Girls Football League. Dont be shy, come on down to a great club with a friendly atmosphere no one will be refused !

  6. Beacon Support Group is a newly founded self help support group run by adult survivors of child abuse to help others move on in their lives. We meet weekly on Friday mornings at FAB, Gladeside Road from 9.30 am until 12 noon.
    If abuse has had an effect on you and your life please come and join us and know that you are not alone.
    All members of the group are made to sign a confidentiality contract, so that you can feel safe in the knowledge that anything you say will be kept in confidence.

  10. hope you don’t mind me using this comment page to say this but I used to live in wythenshawe almost 40 years ago and I attended brownley green methodist church, my mum was the organist there, and I was a scout at st. lukes chuch (1961 onwards). Nice to see both places still active. I lived there from age 6 to 22 and have fond memories and I was very pleased, even proud, to see bbc question time coming from wythenshawe a couple of weeks ago. I googled our old house, 16 halfacre road, and was amazed to see what the owners have done.
