My bad experience at wythenshawe . It's a dirty hosital the room I stayed in wasn't cleaned properley the cleaners would tick the sheet to say they had cleaned the room and they haven't even been in. I would have to wait until 11:00-12:00 at night for my nightly medication, I was left without a neck collar for 10 days when I had broken my neck and when they realised my neck wasn't stable then decided to put one on me. I left wythenshawe to go to Hope for my neck op and had got MRSA from being at wythenshawe. Food horrible and service terrible.

Is Wythenshawe hospital a non-smoking site or not? If it is not then take down all the signs stating it is. If it is then why are they letting people smoke right outside the main entrance? At least they could pick up all the cigarette butts outside. If a pub or restaurant smoked on non-smoking sites they would be fined or shut down. Why should Wythenshawe Hospital get away with it. The outside of the main entrance is an absolute disgrace!!!

Regretfully my experiences of Wythenshawe Hospital are extremely negative. Following a hysterectomy there in 2007 I was wheeled screaming through the corridors in pain I have never experienced before. Since then I have never fully recovered. I have had furether surgery at another hospital but still have serious complications from that operation. The nurse and porter who collected me from theatre said they were going to report it as I was apparently not the first patient to be released from theatre in that condition. I have had 15 other operations in my life and truthfully have never felt so terrible before or since. It was truly disgraceful and I would recommend anyone having surgery there takes medication in as after 24 hours post op I was only given paracetamol.
